Could Fred Again Play in Mullumbimby?

Mullumbimby locals are buzzing after a massive black-and-white banner of Fred again.. appeared on the front of The Middle Pub this week — reading:

“This is me saying thank you, Mullumbimby, for giving us Amy.”

The cryptic sign has fuelled rumours that the UK producer could be planning a secret pop-up set in the small Northern Rivers town — a place known more for its community markets than surprise global DJ shows.

🔥 The Amy Connection

The “Amy” in question is none other than Amy Taylor of Amyl & The Sniffers, who grew up in Mullumbimby before heading overseas to front her now world-famous punk band.
Fred and Amy recently dropped a collaboration, and with Amyl & The Sniffers nominated for multiple ARIA Awards — and set to return to Australia this November — the timing has fans convinced something special is brewing in Amy’s hometown.

🌏 Fred’s Global Run

The banner also coincides with Fred again..’s latest project: 10 Shows, 10 Cities, 10 Weeks — a global series of surprise performances where each city is announced only days before the show.
According to Reddit whispers, upcoming stops include Sydney, Auckland and several European cities — but the tenth and final show is still TBC. Some fans believe it could take place in a “small regional town.”

🎶 Not His First Byron Moment

Fred has a history with the Northern Rivers crowd — last year he played a pop-up show at the Brunswick Heads Hotel that packed the courtyard wall to wall with locals. His team has also filmed several of his live visual moments in intimate, unexpected locations around Australia.

👀 So, Could It Be Happening?

Between the new Mullum banner, the Amy Taylor connection, and Fred’s reputation for surprise sets, locals aren’t ruling it out. Whether it’s a subtle thank-you or a teaser for something bigger, it’s got the region talking.

Keep your eyes on The Middle Pub — because if Fred again.. is coming to Mullumbimby, you’ll want to be standing out front when it happens.
