The Northern’s back room is being transformed into an intergalactic welcome party. Expect a genre-bending mix of space-funk, cosmic disco, trip-hop, nu-metal and whatever else the band feels inspired to drop in the moment. The night is loose, experimental, and designed for dancing.

Go all out in your most bizarre or interstellar outfit and join “Team Alien”, or
Arrive in a minimal, normcore “Team Human” look.

Harvey Sutherland Live
Harvey Sutherland, the Melbourne-born record producer, keyboard player, club DJ and bandleader, made a name amongst his hometown’s electronic underground with a string of cult dance singles. His machine grooves are fired through a prism of crate-digging influences, from Todd Rundgren to Basic Channel and back again. His distinctive synthesiser tones have graced remixes and production for Disclosure, Khruangbin, Chromeo and BadBadNotGood. A seasoned performer, he’s taken his live band to Glastonbury, dragged his Juno-60 into Berghain and turned the Melbourne Recital Centre into a full-fledged nightclub. He will tour material from the new album with a new live A/V show this November.

Pnau
PNAU is the ARIA award-winning, multi-platinum electronic duo of Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun) and Peter Mayes. Formed in Sydney, they’ve been shaping dance music since their 1999 debut Sambanova. Known for hits like Chameleon, Go Bang, and their global smash Cold Heart with Elton John and Dua Lipa, PNAU have collaborated with major artists including Khalid, Troye Sivan, Bebe Rexha, and Empire of the Sun.
Their 2024 album Hyperbolic marks a new era, blending underground roots with pop-disco anthems. Beyond performing, they also support rising talent through their label, Lab78.
